A chess club in Beirut, established in 2002.
Our story
Druzhba Chess Club was established in Beirut in 2002 by alumni of the former Soviet Union, who brought with them a school of chess built on study, discipline and long games played properly.
Champions
The club has graduated many Lebanese chess champions, who have gone on to win Lebanese, Arab and international championships.
Leadership
The club president is Hussein Hammoud, a member of the Lebanese Chess Federation.
Three languages, one board
Our members speak Arabic, Russian and English, and often all three. Every club announcement is published in all three.
